Lyvers requested a reply from the LaRue County Fair Board.
Ann “Snookie” Morrison responded that several local groups rented a spot to sell concessions. The groups set the price for the food. The carnival’s food and games booths also set their own prices.
When the carnival arrived, “they lacked five rides,” Morrison said, but it was too late to book another company.
“We hope to do better next year,” she said. “Maybe go with a different carnival.”
