There will be countywide Relay for Life roadblocks at the intersections of Lincoln Boulevard and Shawnee Drive and 31E/Hwy. 61 on Oct. 13. Times are 10-11 a.m.– Circle of Friends; 11 a.m.-noon – Freedom’s Angels; noon-1 p.m. – Veirs Crew; 1-2 p.m. – Howardstown Relay and Janet’s Angels; 2-3 p.m. – Lincoln’s Warriors; 3-4 p.m. – First Baptist Living Strong; 4-5 p.m. - Becky’s Team and Hawks for Hope.
Lincoln Warriors’ Vendor Blender
A “vendor blender” with numerous retails booths will be held 3-6 p.m. Oct. 13 at LaRue County Park and Recreation. Table rental is $10; admission is $1. Lincoln Warriors T-shirts
The Lincoln Warriors also have T-shirts with names of cancer survivors or in memory of cancer victims. Cost is $10 plus $3 for each person’s name on the shirt. For more information, contact Ashley Yount at 270-537-3218 or Ashley Benningfield at 270-537-4038. Money is due at the time of the order.
Now through May 17, 2013, the Living Strong team has purple and white baseball shirts with “Friends Don’t Let Friends Fight Cancer Alone” on the front. Shirts are $12 each with an additional charge for shirts larger than XL. For more information, call Katie McDowell or Kathy Ross at 234-3309.
Relay for Life is May 17, 2013 at Hodgenville Elementary School. The committee meets at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at HES.
