More than $2,129 of the goal has already been raised with numerous fundraisers and events slated in the weeks ahead. At the January meeting several event sponsorships were announced including Celebrate Sponsor - Nationwide (Fechheimer); Remember Sponsors - Nolin RECC and Magnolia Bank; and Fight Back Sponsor - Bank of Buffalo.

In addition, plans were made for a survivor dinner, purple mailbox campaign and participation in Expo on March 17.

County Relay Chair Regina Childress noted that activities and entertainment for Relay are now being finalized but there is room for more. Local DJ Dennis Sprowls has once again agreed to spin the music and Marsha Duncan, local FYRSC co-ordinator, will be the "Hostess with the Mostess" throughout the night.

Luminaries are now available through each Relay team.
