The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy will hold a regional workshop Thursday, May 28, at the Hart County Extension Service in Munfordville.

The workshop begins at 9 a.m. CDT and is one of 11 workshops that GOAP will hold to discuss new policy and program changes of the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.

GOAP’s compliance team, area project analysts, and others will discuss all new policy changes, as well as, changes concerning KADF programs, including the new on-farm energy investment area and the County Agricultural Investment Program.

The workshops are designed to be an interactive learning session that will help KADF program administrators with reporting requirements and provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with other program administrators, extension agents, county council members and GOAP staff.

“The regional workshops are critical in communicating the new policy and program changes to the agricultural community,” said Roger Thomas, executive director of the GOAP. “They have proven to be extremely beneficial in the past and I am strongly encouraging everyone interested in learning about these changes to attend.”

If planning on attending this event, respond no later than Tuesday by contacting Kylee Smith or Jennifer Daniels at (502) 564-4627 or via e-mail at govkyagpolicy@ky.gov. Visit agpolicy.ky.gov for a copy of the agenda and a list of additional locations and dates.
