The Railsplitter Run, a signature event of the Lincoln Days Celebration, will be held Sunday, Oct. 6.

The Railsplitter one-mile run and walk begins at 1:30 p.m. A 5K will be held at 2:15 p.m.

The runs have proven popular with local athletes and others from across the state. Present and past cross country runners from LaRue County High School have consistently supported the event since its beginning.

Family groups often participate in the fun run.

Jim B. Phelps, teacher at LaRue County Middle School and cross-country coach at LCHS, said the route will be “a fast, flat course,” the same “as last year.”
