Michael Alan Flynn, 36, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, more than 8 ounces; cultivation of marijuana, more than five plants; possession of marijuana; and buy or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Eric Williamson said he, along with Sheriff Bobby Shoffner and Chief Deputy Russell McCoy, were called to the residence on a different complaint.

During the investigation, they were informed of a “secret grow room.” Flynn had allegedly “dry-walled off” an area beside his bedroom and added grow lights and a ventilation system for the purpose of growing marijuana plants.

Inside the room, officers found 22 “good-sized” plants that were “close to budding out,” Williamson said.

They found also 31 plants that had been harvested and several firearms.
