Eighty percent of LaRue County’s workforce travels outside the county for work. They are most likely to drive to Hardin, Jefferson and Nelson Counties. Their average travel time is 27 minutes – to and from work.
Conversely, 52 percent of LaRue County’s jobs are filled by people outside the county – mostly from Hardin and Hart Counties.
Those are a few of the many statistics Mike Burress, deputy director of the Lincoln Trail Development District, included in a presentation Wednesday at the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
