The Reverend Mark Price, pastor of Poplar Grove Methodist Church, is a firm believer that a small congregation can do big things.
The church, nestled in a hollow near where Taylor, Green and LaRue Counties join, has according to Price an average attendance of about 18 worshippers.
“Jesus took 12 men and turned the world upside down,” said the pastor who also shepherds Taylor’s Chapel in Green County. “I tell my congregation, ‘Don’t call yourself small just because you’re few in number.’”
