 Kentucky State Police Sgt. James Heller, center, a resident of Magnolia and native of Louisville, received his promotion certificate from Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary J. Michael Brown, left, and KSP Commissioner Rodney Brewer, right. Heller was promoted to lieutenant on Aug. 16 and transferred from KSP Post 15 in Columbia to Post 7 in Richmond. A 17-year veteran of the agency, Heller is a graduate of DeSales High School and the University of Louisville. He is the son of John and Sheri Heller of Louisville.
