One hundred fifty bicyclists passed through Hodgenville on Oct. 10 for the Ride 2 Recovery Bluegrass Challenge. The event was organized to help bring awareness to the mental and physical rehabilitation programs for our country’s wounded veterans such as the Ride 2 Recovery challenges.
The riders consisted of recovering military personnel, veterans, active duty military personnel, Veterans Affairs employees, family and supporters.
Riders began traveling from Cincinnati, Ohio and will finish their journey in Nashville, Tenn. An escort of LaRue County and Hodgenville Police officers and support vehicles accompanied the group for the journey from the Hardin/LaRue to the LaRue/Hart county lines.
