Cole Nugent was the winner of the LaRue County division of the Kentucky Saves Piggy Bank Design Contest. He is shown with Katie McDowell, branch manager of Fort Knox Federal Credit Union. He received a $25 prize donated by Fort Knox Federal Credit Union. Cole, 12, is the son of Paul and Lisa Nugent. He designed his bank to represent a forest, using bark and other natural materials found in LaRue County. The different tree sections are labeled to allow coins to be separated and each has an opening at the bottom, so the money can be retrieved.
