Jerry McClure, left, and his son, Austin Blake McClure, grew these large “Mr. Stripey” heirloom tomatoes in their Tonieville garden. Jerry McClure said they weigh about two pounds each. He raises also “Mortgage Lifters” and beefstake tomatoes, “thousands of cherry tomatoes” and watermelons. He pumps about 700 gallons of water from a nearby creek to his garden every other day.
