Ancestral Trails met earlier this month with Monie Matthews as guest speaker. He portrayed the writer Samuel Clemons also known as Mark Twain. He explained how he got his name and his adventures in the Civil War. Clemons’ parents were from Adair County. ATHS will meet again Friday, July 6 when Steve Mather will demonstrate his grave-dowsing skills at the Elizabethtown Cemetery.
