Lap quilt donations for Sunrise Manor residents
Volunteers who meet at the LaRue County Extension Office for the monthly sew day make items to be given for area needs. During the winter, they made lap quilts which they presented to some of the residents at Sunrise Manor on April 11 with the help of activities director (center) Kathy Cooper. Volunteers from left are Judy Bridges, Martha Childress, Phyllis Miles, Master Clothing Volunteer Rosa Smith and Rita Smith. The monthly Sew Day is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the fourth Monday. Next they will make hats and scarves for area cancer patients at Hardin Memorial Hospital. Anyone can volunteer with these projects, sewing skills are not required to participate.
