Second graders at Hodgenville Elementary School were in awe of a giant elephant ear leaf plant brought in by their teacher, Ashley Clifford. Clifford’s father, Jim Phelps of Hodgenville, grew the plant in his greenhouse. He had to cut the plant because it was taking over. The elephant ear also visited Susan Phelps’ class at Hodgenville United Methodist Church (Kingdom Kids) and Mrs. Ray’s class at HES. There was a new plant starting in the stem of this ear.
