4-H Livestock Club members learned about different breeds of beef cattle, sheep, goats and swine at their January meeting. Members must earn a minimum of six hours of educational training provided by a certified livestock volunteer in order to be eligible to show at 4-H livestock shows. This includes the county fair, as well as district shows and the state fair. Anyone interested in showing livestock through 4-H this spring or summer should contact 4-H Agent, Misty Wilmoth at 358-3401 for further details. The next Livestock Club meetings are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 14 at the Extension Office.
