LaRue County Magistrate Peggy Hawkins was sworn in as sergeant-at-arms of the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association during the annual summer convention of Magistrates and Commissioners and County Judge/Executive Associations in Louisville.
Hawkins is one of only 30 female fiscal court members in Kentucky and has served as LaRue County magistrate since 1993.
The Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association is a statewide association formed in 1952 with 570 members making it one of the oldest and largest associations of elected officials in the state.
