If you have overdue books, DVDs or other items from the LaRue County Public Library, now is the time to get them back and help the community.
Library Director Dana Jolly said patrons with overdue items and those who have outstanding fines can bring in jars of unexpired peanut butter or canned vegetables to help cover those costs. Each jar of peanut butter gets the patron $5 credit toward the fines; each unexpired can of vegetables get a $1 credit. The promotion is good only in February.
