An Upton man has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
David R. Staples, 37, of Upton-Talley Road, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity, trafficking in controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of controlled substance, unspecified and possession of marijuana, after officers found a working meth lab at his home.
LaRue County Deputy Russell McCoy said he was requested to investigate by a probation and parole officer Monday night.
Staples was lodged in the LaRue County jail.
The sheriff’s office continues the investigation.
