Fifteen students have signed up for a new nurse’s aide class to be offered this fall at LaRue County High School.
The school board agreed June 17 to subsidize the cost of the classes. The district will cover about $300 of the $500 fee for the course, per student.
Although students accepted into the program will be expected to cover the remaining $200 of the course fee, there will be financial assistance available through scholarships and grants, according to Denise Skaggs, instructional supervisor for LCS.
