The following cases of Driving Under the Influence and the resolution of those cases are found in LaRue District Court: ADE is an abbreviation for Alcohol Driver Education, KAPS stands for Kentucky Alternative Program. A service fee is added to all DUIs and court costs are added to all charges. Birth year is in parenthesis.

Stephanie A. Walters (1982), careless driving, merged into reckless driving; no or expired registration receipt, dismissed; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, amended; reckless driving, guilty. Fined $298. Charged July 11, disposed Sept. 18.

Brandon Hicks (1981), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense, guilty. Operator license suspended for 12 months; sentenced to seven days, credit for one day served. Fined $923. Charged April 19, disposed Aug. 29.

Thomas A. Cummings Jr. (1977), possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle, merged; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, guilty. Operator license suspended 90 days, 90 days ADE, jail time not specified on plea. Charged May 2, disposed Aug. 1.

Joseph C. Mitchell (1976), no operator license, amended down; license to be in possession, guilty; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, aggravator, guilty. Sentenced to four days, credit for one day served. Operator license suspended 90 days, costs waived. Fined $793. Charged June 10, disposed Aug. 29.

Robert E. Peake (1994), rear license not illuminated, dismissed; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, under 21, guilty. Operator license suspended 30 days, fined $268. Charged June 2, disposed Aug. 1.

Karla F. Jamie R. Reidner (1959), speeding, merged; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, proof shown; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, guilty. Sentenced to 48 hours, credit for 24 hours served, operator license suspended for 90 days, fined $743. Charged July 20, disposed Aug. 29.

Erin M. Dennison (1992), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, guilty. Operator license suspended 90 days, ADE. Sentenced to 48 hours, credit for one day served. Fined $743. Charged Jan. 15, disposed July 25.

Kristina Furguson (1981), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense, guilty; failure to produce insurance card, guilty; failure of owner to maintain required insurance, guilty; license suspended 12 months, one year ADE, insurance compliance monitored by KAPS, sentenced to seven days for DUI, credit for one day served; sentenced to 90 days, suspended and probated for two years on remaining charges; costs waived; fined $1,368.
