New Hope woman dies in crash

 A New Hope woman died Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash in Nelson County.

Theresa J. Thompson, 43, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup on KY 52 about 1.5 miles east of New Hope when she lost control about 5:15 p.m., according to Kentucky State Trooper John Adams.

The truck tires dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway and Thompson overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway on the westbound side.
