A New Hope man who killed a man will spend time in prison after plea-bargaining in mediation.
David Jerome Willett, 28, of New Hope, was initially charged with murder and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On Dec. 2, 2010, Willett stabbed Eric Douglas Stallard multiple times, killing him, according to court documents.
After going through a mediation process, the murder charge was amended to manslaughter and the persistent felony offender charge was dropped due to him pleading to manslaughter, said Chip McKay, assistant commonwealth’s attorney.
