New Haven woman pleads guilty to trafficking

A New Haven woman has entered a guilty plea to several drug-related charges in LaRue Circuit Court

Deborah “Debbie” Kay Mayo, 44, of 4185 Cissal Hill Road, pleaded guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance; second-degree trafficking and third-degree trafficking.

Recommended sentence is eight years on the first two counts; five years on the third, to run concurrently.

Probation is recommended by the Commonwealth’s attorney. Another case is pending in Nelson County.

She is accused of selling Meperidine, hydrocodone and Fentanyl patches – all prescription pain medications – to a confidential informant in October and December 2007.

Final sentencing is Dec. 15.

The case was investigated by the LaRue County Sheriff’s Department.
