A Nelson County grand jury indicted a New Haven man last week on several counts.
Jesse Layne French, 24, is accused in three separate indictments involving first-degree trafficking in controlled substances. French is accused of selling heroin in an amount equal to or less than two grams to a confidential informant in March. He either acted alone or in concert with David Lucas, according to the court documents.
French was also indicted on several counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. In June French was indicted for first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (less than 2 grams of heroin), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned in Nelson Circuit Court.
The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and the person is innocent until and unless proven guilty.
