A New Haven man was indicted last week by a Nelson County grand jury.
Justin Michael Browning, 23, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree disorderly conduct.
On or about May 15, Browning was in a physical altercation with Deputy Greenwell and Deputy Cecil at the Nelson County Jail. Browning also jammed the lock mechanism of the food chase flap at the jail and made unreasonable noise by kicking and rattling a door. Bail was set at $9,500 cash, plus conditions.
He was arraigned June 19 in Nelson Circuit Court.
