The University of Kentucky’s Cooperative Extension Service will host a National Issues Forum 10 a.m. Feb. 7 in Campbellsville.
NIF is a result of a partnership between the Kettering Foundation and the National Issues Forums Institute. The purpose is to use the comments from the Forums as a method to communicate and inform national policy makers.
The public thinking that emerges from forums can provide valuable insights to policy makers about the kinds of things the public is ready to act on, and where the public might need further thinking. This year, the Forum will be focused on economic security, with national, state and local implications.
Seven forums will be presented across the state.
Dr. Alison Davis, Executive Director of the University of Kentucky Community and Economic Development Initiative will facilitate the Campbellsville forum.
If you would like to attend, call the LaRue County Extension Office at 358-3401 by Feb. 1.
The event will be held at the Taylor County Extension Office, 1143 S. Columbia Ave., Campbellsville.
