President Kay Bennett opened the recent meeting of National Active and Retired Federal Employees so more than 50 members and guests could enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. During the business meeting, Bennett announced that the June, July, and August meetings would be at 6:30 p.m.

Sam Alexander distributed NARFE's "Be Prepared for Life's Events" information. Guest Mike Mitchell, vice president of the Kentucky Federation, told the membership that the April 2014 State meeting will be in Bowling Green.
Guest Omar Rogers Sr., vice president of District 2, installed the new officers for 2013-15. They are Chapter President Mary Tom Haun, First Vice President Sally Watkins, Second Vice President Kay Bennett, Secretary Carol Aiken and Treasurer Roland Haun.
Prize winners were Gary Kempf, Carlo Triplett and Nancy Kempf. The next NARFE meeting is 11 a.m. Jan. 7 at Nolin RECC. Ret. Col. Mike Weaver will present a program on renovation of a World War II barracks on Fort Knox. The Service Center will be open prior to the meeting from 9 to 11 a.m.
