Mountain Movers join Relay for Life teams

 With the beginning of the new year, LaRue County Relay welcomed Hodgenville United Methodist Church’s Mountain Movers Relay Team to the group giving the county a total of nine teams and more than 70 individuals committed to the cancer event slated for May 17 at Hodgenville Elementary School. To date, $10,902.91 has been raised by these teams.

The team captain meeting is held the last Tuesday of each month at Hodgenville Elementary at 6 p.m. This meeting is also a great place to find out more about Relay for Life as well as to join in the fun of planning the County Relay event.

Planning for the second annual survivor’s dinner is also underway. The dinner will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 at First Baptist Church Hodgenville. All survivors are invited to attend the free event. Guest tickets are $10. RSVP by March 14 by calling Survivor Chair Kathy Ross at 234-3309.
