A winter storm hit LaRue County about 9 p.m. Monday, making driving treacherous and canceling LaRue County Schools on Tuesday.
State, county and city crews worked throughout the night and by Tuesday morning, main roads were passable and generally clear. The snow increased mid-morning and emergency responders were called out several times to assist stranded motorists.
Forecasters expect light snow Wednesday as well.
