August has brought on a spate of methamphetamine-related arrests in LaRue and surrounding counties.
Thursday, two Hodgenville men were charged with manufacturing, possession and trafficking of the illegal substance from a residence on Castleman Road.
Billy L. Bunnell, 37, owner of the home, and Willie D. Stallins, 45, formerly of Elizabethtown, will be arraigned Wednesday in LaRue District Court on those charges, along with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputy Eric William-son said he, Sheriff Bobby Shoffner and Chief Deputy Russell McCoy responded to a complaint at the home. The officers allegedly found inside an active meth lab and items used in the manufacture of meth, such as drain cleaner, lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine and salt.
A third person is under investigation for the alleged crimes, Williamson said.
