When Fred Wells decided to raise and breed horses, he started small – as in miniature.
“I was retired, and started with my horses about 12 years ago as kind of a hobby that I found I really enjoyed,” said the 1964 LaRue County High School graduate, former teacher, and LaRue County Middle School principal who lives with his wife Karen off Hawkins Road. “I love to watch them play, romping around and flashing their tails and manes in the air.”
