Rep. Michael Meredith, R-Brownsville (19th District) announced Thursday he is filing two bills that if passed in the 2012 Legislative Session would provide tax exemptions to Kentucky's equine and agricultural animal industries.
House Bill 285 would extend sales tax exemptions to any horse farms and equine operations in the Commonwealth on feed, building supplies and other items. Joining Rep. Meredith as primary co-sponsors on the bill are Rep. Sara Beth Gregory, R-Monticello, and Rep. Ryan Quarles, R-Georgetown.
