Couple sues Cruse and city, claiming illegal search, seizure and detainment

By Linda Ireland

Hodgenville Mayor Terry Cruse accompanied city officers to serve a search warrant July 1 at a Fairview Drive residence. The evening ended with Cruse tackling a suspected drug dealer who was running from police.

A district judge found probable cause to send numerous charges, including trafficking, against Brett Alan Decker, 25, to a grand jury.

However, Cruse, along with the City of Hodgenville, is facing fallout from the incident.
