A former Magnolia man has been ordered to return $78,482.36 to the Kentucky State Treasury after being found guilty of welfare fraud in LaRue Circuit Court.
Robert Caughron, 37, who now lives in Salesville, Ohio, was sentenced to two years, suspended and probated for five years. He also was ordered to begin making payments of $100 per month to the treasury department beginning in September.
At that rate of reimbursement, he will be paying the government back for the next 65 years.
