A Magnolia man is in critical condition after losing control of the motorcycle he was driving.
Aaron Barnes, 44, was operating an eastbound 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 5 p.m. in the 3600 block of South L&N Turnpike (Ky. 470). He lost control and the vehicle left the roadway, according to Kentucky State Trooper Jeff Gregory.
“Preliminary investigations point to speed being a factor in the accident. The operator was not wearing a helmet,” according to Trooper Gregory.
Barnes was flown from the scene and is listed in critical condition at University of Louisville Hospital.
The investigation is ongoing by Sgt. Greg Hill. KSP was assisted on the scene by Hodgenville City Police, LaRue County EMS, and Magnolia and Buffalo fire departments.
