A 30-year-old Hodgenville man has been charged with first-degree rape of a young teenager.

Troy Eugene Tarter was arrested Jan. 2 at a relative’s house following an extended investigation, according to LaRue County Deputy Matt Darst.

Tarter was charged also with first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.

The alleged victim is a 13-year-old acquaintance of Tarter’s, Darst said.

Chief Deputy Marcus Jackson assisted with the investigation.
