Man charged with DUI after collision

A Hodgenville man was charged with DUI June 28 after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident in Hardin County.
Jacob Daniel Barnes, 26, was involved in a collision on Hawkins Drive in Elizabethtown, according to Officer Virgil Willoughby of Elizabethtown City Police. The Dodge van he was driving allegedly struck another vehicle, causing minor damage. Barnes continued driving into LaRue County where he was spotted by Constable Jeff Metcalf near the Leafdale community. Metcalf followed the vehicle to Buffalo where he was joined by Deputies Russell McCoy and Matt Darst.
