A Magnolia man was injured in a two-vehicle crash about noon on Feb. 6.

Curtis Overly, 88, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S10 south on Lincoln Parkway, attempting to make a left turn on Ky. 3204.

Overly told officers he did not see an oncoming northbound 2007 Honda Odyssey LX on Lincoln Parkway and turned in front of it. His vehicle was hit in the passenger side door and flipped onto the driver side door.

Overly was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters from LaRue, Hodgenville and Buffalo departments extricated him using the Jaws of Life.

David Yoder, 58, of North Hick, the driver of the Honda, said he was unable to avoid the impact. He and his passenger, Edith Yoder, 56, were not injured.

Overly was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by LaRue County EMS. He has been transferred to another facility, according to a HMH spokesperson.

Both vehicles were severely damaged.

LaRue County Deputy Doug Sherrard investigated.
