A Louisville man already facing a trial on DUI charges in Indiana ran into additional problems in LaRue County Saturday night.
About 8:45 p.m., James Edward Carter, 65, lost control of the 1994 Ford Escort he was driving north on U.S. 31E near the Lincoln Boyhood Home. The car hit a bank, overturned and landed on its top.
Carter told LaRue County Deputy Matt Darst he “took a curve at too high a rate of speed” which led to the crash.
Carter was not injured.
