Statewide, more than $183.6 million has gone to scholarships and grants

Students in Central Kentucky last year received nearly $52 million in college scholarships and grants paid for by Kentucky Lottery proceeds, according to the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority. These funds were used to award more than 33,500 scholarships and grants to Central Kentucky students.
Statewide, more than $183.6 million in Kentucky Lottery proceeds paid for more than 120,000 scholarships and grants awarded during the 2009 fiscal year.
