American Red Cross

Blood donations are taken at the Red Cross, 405 W. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown noon-6 p.m. every Monday. The Red Cross Disaster Team meets 7 p.m. the fourth Monday at the Elizabethtown office. This meeting is open to anyone wanting to become Red Cross trained to assist when disaster strikes. Apheresis donations are taken Mondays. Call 765-4979 for exact time.

Loss of Someone Special (Elizabethtown and Campbellsville)

Hosparus – Hospice of Central Kentucky will host free L.O.S.S. (Loss of Someone Special) support groups at 105 Diecks Drive, Elizabethtown 6-7:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month. The group meets at Green River Plaza, Suite 5, Campbellsville, on the second Monday of each month. The group is open to family members of former Hosparus patients and others in the community grieving the loss of a loved one. Red Hill Cemetery Commission, made up of members of Hodgenville City Council, meets twice annually at 6:30 p.m. in January and July before the regular city council meeting. The meeting is held in City Hall.

Veteran assistance at Pritchard Community Center

Frank Niederriter, field representative for the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, will be available to assist LaRue County veterans 1:30-4 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday at Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown. Veterans assistance – LaRue library

A representative from the Office of Employment and Training will be at the LaRue County Public Library 2-4 p.m. on the first and third Thursday to assist military veterans find employment.
