The state convention of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association (KRTA) met April 18-10 in Louisville. This year’s theme “Celebrate Retirement” featured several speakers, encouraging members to volunteer in their communities and giving pertinent information on federal issues regarding public pension plans. Dr. Stephen Boyd gave the address at the luncheon entitled “Be Present When You Are Absent.” Retired teachers of LaRue County received recognition for meeting their membership goal for the current year.
