There is a waiting list for those wanting to attend an interpreter training workshop “Women in Lincoln’s Life” Wednesday in the Lincoln Museum Community Room.
To place your name on the waiting list, contact Sandy Brue at Sandy_Brue@nps.gov or 358-3137. The workshop is free and lunch will be provided.
The workshop will focus on the role of women in Lincoln’s life, specifically focusing on Mary Lincoln, and will also touch on the role of women in general in the 19th century. The workshop will be conducted by Catherine Clinton, chair in American history at Queen’s University Belfast.
Clinton, who has written or edited 25 books, is the author of “The Women in Lincoln’s Life. She will be signing books at Lincolns Loft bookstore in Hodgenville after the seminar.
The public is welcome to attend the book signing.
