 The death of Officer Mark Taulbee has been an eye-opener for this community. We always think of a tragedy happening to someone else.

I am so proud of this community for coming together to show their respect and compassion for this family and his fellow officers. The outpouring of your presence and acts of kindness were overwhelming.

Being a wife and mother of those in law enforcement made me realize maybe their job isn’t thankless. But why do we wait until a tragedy happens to say thank you or I appreciate your service?
