LETTER: Happy to reconnect with old friend

A few months ago, I sent an email looking for an old friend, Earl Thompson Jr., who was stationed at the same air base with me in Blytheville, Ark. You put it in the paper that I wanted to get in touch with him. One of his brothers, Clifford, saw it and called him.
Earl and I began emailing. I am so glad you did that because now Earl is gone. His wife sent me an email informing me of Earl’s passing.
Thank you for getting me in touch with Earl even though it was for a short time.
