LETTER: Common sense question

I want to thank Mayor Terry Cruse for proving my points about him so eloquently in last week’s letter to the editor. And, with regard to common sense, I certainly would have had more common sense than to telegraph my intention to racially profile and to instruct my chief of police – in the newspaper – to target the Latino population by threatening them with ICE. My feeling is Chief Johnson is much, much smarter than that.

I have to remind myself this week that I am from the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. He sure would be awfully disappointed just now.
