Barbara Davila, a teacher at LaRue County Middle School, on April 10-11, led her students in an activity designed to teach them about speed and velocity. The activity was made possible through a McDonald’s MAC grant. Students built a balloon buggy car. After completion, students raced their cars to see who built the fastest and most energy efficient car. Racing cars, from left, are Kaitlyn Puckett, Chloe Childress, Giselle Marinez, and Victor Burton.
