The LaRue County High School Academic Team competed Nov. 10 in the JV Challenge hosted at LCHS. The Quick Recall team defeated Washington County, Bethlehem and Elizabethtown to place second overall.
Kylie Rogers took first place in written composition; Carby Mather placed fifth in arts and humanities and third in language arts; Jesse Gehr placed fourth in social studies and second in arts and humanities. LCHS took third place overall. Other members of the team include Andrew Coy, Matthew Crain, Ryan Henning, Ripley Lucas, Cody McDowell, Nick Sullivan, Matthew Warren, Shayne Wathen and Austin Parrish.
