LBS finds success in sports without gym

Athletics have been a part of LaRue Baptist School since 1981. The students take part in basketball and volleyball under the Kentucky Christian Schools Athletic Association. In 1989-90, 1990-91 and 1994-1995 school years, the girls’ volleyball team won the state championship.

The boys’ basketball team won the state championship in 1992.

For several years the boys and girls’ team have won the team Christian Sportsmanship award.
